1979 Chevrolet El Camino

1979 El Camino. Runs and drives excellent.

Doesn’t stall, it runs and idles great. Likely originally had a 5.0 305 V8. Now has a nice 5.7L 350 V8 crate engine with 25k miles on it since it was installed. Also has decals and front facia from a newer 86-88 SS which is rare and hard to find, you never see other El Caminos that have it.

Feels very tight and solid when you drive it.

Body has a few door dings and scratches etc. Bucket seats with warn headrests. Windshield is cracked.

Extremely well put together car. Previously owned by a guy who owned a trans shop. Nice exhaust that sounds great. Motor also sounds very, very healthy. No catalytic converters. So if you’re registering around phoenix, you’ll need to get classic car insurance or buy two magnaflow 51206 converters online or anywhere and have an exhaust shop throw them on.

I’m a weekend hobbyist/car builder and a big car guy. My cars are very mechanically sound. I’ve had people drive/fly in from Dallas, San Francisco, El Centro, Prescott, Show Low and Los Angeles in the past to buy old cars from me.
