Buick T-Types are the cult secret in the Grand National world. They are half the price but have the exact same engine, transmission, suspension and body. The only differences are, T-Types came in lots of colors and interior kits while the Grand National was only in black paint with grey seats...yep, that's it! I've owned this car for almost nine years and 40k miles, but need to sell to finance the next project. It's been a fun car that was built to be a reliable daily driver. This car served as my commuter (20 minutes each way) for a long time. More recently it's been a weekend garage queen, but still sees plenty of action. Maintenance
Every bit of rubber on this car has been replaced, check out the photos. But, stuff you can't readily see are things like seals, gaskets and timing sets. All that stuff is new since I've owned it, including the front and rear main seals. All fluids are fresh along with new plugs and wires. The car literally needs zero maintenance, it is ready to go. Interior All carpets, mats and seat upholstery are new as well as new headliner and visors. The door cards are stock but have been cleaned and match all the new stuff very well. Fresh window tint all the way around and new front and rear glass. Stereo head unit is a Retrosound NY 1.5, which blends into the stock HVAC controls very well. The speakers were replaced by the previous owner. All controls and gauges work, even the goofy vacuum cruise control and cable operated mirrors. :) Exterior This is a great driver's car not a 10/10 concourse trophy winner, but a solid 8/10. The car looks awesome and will put a smile on your face every time you walk up to it. For the half the money of a Grand National it can't be beat. With new glass and tint this car looks great inside and out. Drivetrain As you can see in the burnout video the engine is very strong, it will lay 11s for as long as you are brave. There is no shaft play in the turbo, oil pressure is excellent and it burns no oil or anti-freeze. Transmission shifts fine but it is definitely a 40 year old automatic. It is not as smooth as a modern car but it accelerates and cruises great. Also in the burnout video you'll see the Detroit Truetrac in action. Along with the new differential the car got uprated axles to match. Steering, Suspension, Brakes Same story here, everything is new. Suspension is a full BMR kit with all new control arms, ball joints, springs and dampers. All steering and linkage have been replaced with stock rebuilt units. Only mod here is the steering rag joint has been replaced with a solid link. Brakes are all new along with a disc brake conversion in the rear. Everything listed here are things that have been done since I've owned the car. Interior
