Please look at the picture carefully. These valve covers came in different configurations, look very similar, and are easily  confused as being the same. This valve cover mounts with the oil filler cap at the rear when mounted on the left side of the engine. If put on the right side of the engine, the oil filler cap will be at the front. The valve cover cannot be reversed on the same side like 1957-1986 valve covers. A valve cover was made that is the opposite configuration and is used on trucks, vans, and some crate engines; I found out the hard way.
