Please Read This as it has been brought to our Attention by Numerous Dissatisfied Customers who thought they bought an actual 500 Series Box that CPP created only to find out its a cheap made Knock off that doesn’t function properly. The issues are Endless with these boxes and all i can do is try to educate the Consumer that if the Box doesn’t say ” 500 Series” on the casting its not the real deal (as pictured below for reference) Also i posted a reference picture of the actual corrugated cardboard shipping boxes to show you that if it is not delivered in this box it is also a fake! In 2005 CPP created this box and it has become truly the industry favorite and we truly feel horrible to see people spend there hard earned money on something made so poorly and to ever be confused with our steering box, in all honesty its Insulting and its Fraud! . I certainly hope this reaches the Clueless consumer before he or she is suckered into nothing more than a Cheap Steering Box that has issues even before installed in Your Vehicle. Our 500-Series™ steering box is a 14:1 ratio unit is a direct bolt on for factory manual steering cars and is a direct replacement for the 605 power steering boxes.

The 500-Series box provides superior directional control and road feedback, as well as a more stable/comfortable feel for the driver. CPP engineered the recirculating ball gears for low friction and increased steering response. An open centered, rotary type valve provides smooth operation throughout the steering range while retaining excellent road feel. Notice that the mounting bosses are integrated into the casting, eliminating the need for an external bracket. Also, it will line up perfectly to your column without shims or spacers. This kit will come with the 500-Series™ power steering gearbox, hose kit, pump with reservoir and pitman arm. You will need a pulley if you dont already have one. This kit features a completely bolt-on installation, there is no cutting or welding required!
