1978-1988 GM G-Body Tubular Upper & Lower Control Arms Kit

Rear control arms are one of the most important suspension modifications that can be done to your GM vehicle. Stock control arms are on the borderline of “junk”, bushing deflection and rusting weak stamped material add for traction loss and poor handling ability. Our tubular control arms are designed to give you the best of both worlds, whether your car is a weekend cruiser or a weekend track addict we got you covered. The included Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings are an excellent improvement over OEM rubber bushings, while adding ride improvements they also work excellent to reduce traction loss. These control arms are a direct bolt-on replacement designed to minimize wheel hop, improve corning and help track consistency. Lower control arms are supplied with sway bar mounting holes designed for your stock sway bar and most aftermarket bars.

The UMI P/N 2999 adds the finishing touch to allow full articulation of the GM 4-link rear suspension. By using 2999 and either Roto-Joints or rod ends in the other six locations, your 4-link will move bind-free whether it be autocross transition, road race cornering or just back road corner carving. These Roto-Joints install with a gentle press fit and are retained by a spiral retaining ring. The 6061-T6 aluminum housing is pre-greased with Synco Super Lube and will provide smooth motion for years to come. 100% manufactured in Philipsburg, PA-USA.

The UMI Performance spring and shock kit is designed to lower your car 1 while providing a huge improvement in handling and control. These kits feature our race quality lowering springs which provide a high performance foundation for your ride. Premium US sourced CrSi wire is wound into the correct rates for street cruising, Pro-Touring, corner carving or light drag use. The UMI Performance monotube shock features medium-firm compression valving and a ramped up rebound curve to properly control the UMI spring. The rebound valving also controls body roll when cornering and contributes to a high performance ride.

Springs: Springs intended for small block engine. Lightweight LS may require trimming and an additional 1/4″ front end drop may occur with a full weight big block.

  • Springs feature 600 lb/in front rates and 130 lb/in linear rate.
  • Premium CrSi US sourced wire used on all lowering springs.
