1978-88 GM G-body vehicles: Malibu, Monte Carlo, Monte Carlo SS, El Camino, Regal, Grand National, Cutlass, Cutlass 442, Cutlass Salon, Grand Prix, Caballerro and Station Wagons

Wheel mounting flange to wheel mounting flange will be 58″ Track width with axles installed 

PLEASE SPECIFY IF YOU ARE RUNNING DISC OR DRUM BRAKES!

CHOOSE: 

 GEAR RATIO

 REAR END YOKE SIZE AND

 BOLT PATTERN 

DRAIN PLUG (NONE OR 3/4 NPT IF REQUESTED WHEN YOU ORDER

CHOOSE Big Ford Housing Ends; New Style (torino) with .375″ (3/8″) bolt holes OR  Big Ford Old Style ends .500″ (1/2″)

SPECIFY   if you are running drum or disc brakes (brakes not included)

SPECIFY   2 3/8″ or 2 1/2″ axle offset for brakes

  • Ford 9 Inch for 

    A Body New Flanged Housing 58″ Stock pinion Location with Big Ford New Style Housing Ends.  78-88 GM Midsize Cars.



    Wheel mounting flange to wheel mounting flange will be 58″ Trackk width with axles installed (2 1/2″ offset axles)

    • Stock rear end pinion yoke location between wheel flanges when center section is installed.  
    • Standard driveshaft location 1/2″ to the passenger side exactly like a General Motors rear.  
    • New Stamped Housing with new 3″ x .188″ wall DOM tubing.
    • Big Ford New Style (torino) housing ends with .375″ (3/8″) bolt holes
    • new studs installed in housing

Nodular Iron Trac Loc Center Section 9″ Ford with 31 spline US Gear ring & pinion,  Assembled.

The Center Section will be Assembled and set up for Street by Professionals.

ALL NEW UNIT!

  •  Nodular Iron Gear case and Nodular iron Stock size Pinion Support.
  • 9 inch Ford US GEAR 8620 Street Series Ring & Pinion  (ratios 325, 350, 370, 389, 4.11 or 4.30) .
  • 2.89″ OD Bearing size x 1.78” ID bearing surface. nodular iron 5 bolt pinion support.   
  • CHOOSE Rear End Yoke: choose 1310  series (3 7/32″ wide with 1 1/16″ cap OD)  or 1330 series 3 5/8″ wide with 1 1/8″ cap OD)  rear end yoke.
  • 9 inch Ford PEM 31 spline Trac Loc Carrier (posi clutch style unit)  must use bottle of friction modifier in your lube

Package includes: PEM nodular iron case, iron pinion support, pinion bearings & races, pinion bolts, pinion depth shims, pinion seal, pinion nut, side bearings & races, premium ring gear bolts, tail bearing and tail bearing retainer plate.

All bearings and seals are Premium Brands ( either Timken or Koyo).

Also comes with big housing gasket, u-bolts for yoke and 4 ounce bottle of friction modifier.

We will build this center section after you verify the ratio of ring & pinion and the yoke series you want.
