Many folks have cars that did not have a sway bar from the factory, have eliminated the sway, or are using an aftermarket bar that moves the hook ups from sway bar to chassis. The arms are a bolt-on design and are specifically designed for cars running lift springs or lift cups.

When choosing G Body trailing arms for your car lift project, be sure to note the finish on the parts. All of Universal Car Lifts parts feature a durable gloss black powder coat finish. We start by cleaning the raw metal parts with a degreaser solution to facilitate a permanent finish bonding. The parts are then sent through a large oven and heated to encourage off gassing. This uniformly bakes off any impurities from the parts.
After pretreating the parts in an oven, the G Body trailing arms are professionally sprayed with a high end powder coat gun in a clean room spray booth. The arms are then sent back through the oven where they bake at the proper temperature to obtain a permanent bond.
This powder coat technique is the same method that new car manufacturers use to ensure their parts last virtually forever. It prevents rust from forming on the parts which will weaken the steel and cause premature failure.
Beware of “knock-off brand” sellers who use cheap hardware store spray paint to finish their parts. The finish will look like crap and the parts will almost immediately rust. The corrosion will eventually cause the parts to fail and could cause your rear end to fall out of your car.

Like all car lift kits, you will need to install new bushings in to the trailing arms. You can try reusing your stock bushings, but chances are the 20+ year old factory units are in need of replacement. We provide the part numbers in the instructions and you can purchase these at your local auto parts store.

You will need to use a hydraulic H press to install the bushings in the rear trailing arms. We recommend having an experienced professional do this. If you are interested in having us install the bushings for you, we can send you the trailing arms with them fully installed and ready to bolt on your ride. To receive credit, you must return the item within 30 days of receipt. We will not however accept anything without prior approval and an RMA number. Please CALL to gain approval. We don’t accept products that are used, installed or otherwise less than brand new, and aren’t in their original unmolested packaging.
If you feel your order was shipped in error, please check the part number on the box received against the part number you ordered. If the part number agrees with your order, but the part is not correct for your car, please contact us for a verification of the fitment for your vehicle.
Returns must be shipped to us prepaid and credit will be minus the original freight costs. If you’ve ordered the wrong part, we must impose a 10% restocking charge. UPS provides exceptionally good domestic service. The price is fair, the service fast and it offers detailed tracking the whole way.
USPS priority mail is good for lightweight packages and offers low cost and typically fast service and a delivery confirmation. Be aware that the times that they give are ESTIMATED, not guaranteed like UPS. If you need an item by a certain day, USE UPS. We can also offer faster next day services. Please call for a quote. Be aware that USPS Parcel Post offers NO tracking and often is quite slow.
USPS service is also the best for any international shipments as costs are low and customs is often painless. Whenever you have us ship with a tracking numbered service, we will email it to you.

We’d love to offer you quicker service, but the reality is shipping to your destination is usually delayed an additional few days.
