Info

UMI’s double adjustable lower control arms utilize our Roto-Joint technology for a bind free performance, quiet ride quality, and also offer on car adjustment. The control arms can be adjusted longer or shorter moving the rear end back or forward to squeeze those larger tires in the fender wells. Adjustable control arms are also recommended for most aftermarket rear end installs to center the rear end and prevent tire rubbing. The control arms are fabricated from 1-1/2” drawn over mandrel tubing with TIG welded chromoly threaded tube adapters for the utmost in strength and performance. The threaded ends feature left and right hand threads for easy on car adjustments, simply loosen the jam nuts and turn the wrench to make adjustments. Both control arms feature the correct provisions for adding a stock or aftermarket sway bar. Sway bar holes are reinforced with a 0.120” wall thickness steel sleeve that TIG welded and sanded into place. This control arm set features Roto-Joints on both sides of the control arms. This is designed for maximum performance and suspension travel. The installed Roto-Joint is a pivot ball lined with a greaseable delrin race designed to offer 28 degrees of total unrestricted movement, more than adequate for a bind free, low friction operation. The Roto-Joint design improves performance over the factory rubber and aftermarket polyurethane bushings by allowing the suspension to articulate correctly, and provide precision handling. The installed UMI Roto-Joint allows rear end free movement when high handling, auto cross or road race is a concern while still being a 100% streetable setup. The installed delrin race, which lines the spherical ball, absorbs shock and road noise for a quiet and smooth operation but also works excellent as a solid bushing drag race control arm. All Roto-Joints are greaseable and low maintenance making an excellent street setup for your cruiser or race car!

UMI’s 3056 adjustable upper a-arms are designed to excel in Pro-Touring, road race, auto-x and hot street corner carving. The race quality rod ends provide shim-free camber and caster adjustment along with ultimate smooth travel. This arm features a relocated ball joint pad to increase caster and improve stability and steering feel as well as a shortened cross shaft to ball joint distance. We recommend the 3056 arm for all racing applications. This p/n does not include a ball joint. Arm must be used with tall spindles using a standard height ball joint or tall ball joints. 100% manufactured, tested and raced out of Philipsburg, PA – USA.

Features and benefits:

Improve the street and track performance of your G-body and achieve that precise Pro-Touring feel by combining our popular P/N 3033 upper a-arms with ½” taller premium ball joints. P/N 3033-1 a-arms combine the benefit of additional caster with increased negative camber potential throughout the suspension travel. The relocated ball joint plate offers up to six degrees caster without excessive shimming while the ½” taller ball joint creates up to one additional degree negative camber at full bump travel. Expect improved steering feel courtesy of increased caster and an overall increase in lateral grip due to the camber improvement. Features include greaseable, low deflection UMI designed and manufactured Delrin bushings, chromoly cross shafts, improved header clearance and polyurethane bump stops. These track-tested, jig built DOM a-arms are supplied with a durable gloss red or black powder coat finish which guarantees your performance parts stay beautiful on your street car, drag car, autocrosser or Pro-touring machine. Designed and manufactured with pride in Philipsburg, PA – USA.

Hardware kit, Part # 3012 – Upper A-Arm hardware kit includes 12mm Grade 10.9 bolts, washers and nylock nuts. Kit includes everything needed to mount your new UMI Performance A-Arms to your vehicle.
