The Mountain Goat Series adjustable front track bar is a necessary upgrade on any lifted Jeep JK Wrangler. The length of our adjustable front track bar is easily adjusted to perfectly center the front axle housing beneath your Jeep JK Wrangler.
Our adjustable front track bar is compatible with virtually any suspension system, from 2.0″ to 6.0″ of lift, and allows for easy adjustment changes as your vehicle modifications require. The use of minimum 2.0″ long front bump stop extensions is recommended.
The ends of our adjustable front track bar feature greaseable Delrin bushings on the chassis end and a high strength forged 4130 chrome moly Del-Sphere pivot joint on the front axle housing end. These were chosen to provide no flex under steering loads and maximum off-road performance and articulation while minimizing the transfer of road noise and vibrations on the street.
Manufactured from massive 1.25″ x 0.281″ wall 1026 DOM tubing, our adjustable front track bar is 100% TIG welded and precision formed to ensure proper geometry and optimum clearance of most aftermarket differential covers. A brilliant and durable powder coated finish in your choice of bright red or gloss black provides excellent protection from corrosion, rocks, and debris.
Also included are (2) 9/16″ Grade 8 mounting bolts, (4) 9/16″ Grade 8 flat washers and (2) Grade 9 steel locking nuts. A common cause of death wobble along with front track bar mount hole egging on the Jeep© JK Wrangler is the fact that the factory uses non-shouldered (all threads) 14mm mounting bolts and have oversized (+9/16″) mounting holes in both front track bar mounts. Our extreme duty 9/16″ mounting hardware that is included with our adjustable front track bar will cure these issues and provide for extremely strong fastening strength.
Why do lifted Jeep JK Wranglers need an adjustable front track bar?
The front track bar controls the lateral (side to side) positioning of the front axle housing. It is attached to the chassis on the driver’s side and to the front axle housing on the passenger’s side. When you lift your Jeep JK Wrangler it changes the distance between the mounting points and moves the front axle housing out of alignment (pushed off to one side).
The fixed length of the factory front track bar won’t allow for length adjustments to re-center the front axle housing. Unless corrected, this misalignment will place stress on suspension, steering, and driveline components, create alignment problems, and prevent proper suspension and front sway bar disconnect operation.
Del-Sphere Pivot Joint:
Think of the Del-Sphere pivot joint as a Delrin© bushed spherical rod end. The Delrin bushing cups absorb shock and road noise so you get the quiet and smooth ride of a bushing as well as 22° of rotation! Designed and manufactured exclusively by Spohn Performance, we have taken suspension performance to the next level.
Our Del-Sphere pivot joint features a one piece forged and heat treated 4130 chrome moly housing, a heat treated and chrome plated chrome moly spherical ball, Delrin bushing cups, heat treated retainer washers and snap ring, an external grease fitting, and a beautiful silver zinc plated housing finish.
We doubt you’ll ever need to replace the Delrin bushing cups, but they certainly can be. Unlike a spherical rod end, the Del-Sphere pivot joint is 100% rebuildable.
