This kit includes two straps, covered and dielectrically sealed in color matched vinyl, four chrome plastic end-caps, and two back straps that install on the back side of the panel to support the pull straps. These straps are specifically patterned after the 1978-88 G bodies, including Monte Carlo, T-Types, Regals, Grand Prixs, and Grand Ams. These straps may fit earlier or later years of other GM models as well. Does not include mounting hardware.

It fits the G-Body 1978, 1979 and 1980 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. I bought a few of them along with other parts from a guy that worked at the Lakewood GM plant in the mid 80’s. Some of the parts were in GM boxes and some were not. These lower bumper trim pieces were not in individual boxes, but they are certainly new and look great! I put one on my son’s Monte Carlo (see pics) and it looks fantastic. The chrome on this plastic piece is in excellent condition. This piece is really hard to come by. Most are rotted away because of the gasoline that has spilled on it over the years.

This License Plate Pocket Lower Trim piece is in new condition, extremely rare, hard to find now-a-days…especially new and would definitely be an asset and the perfect finishing touch to your 1978-1980 Monte Carlo restoration project.
