THE PURPOSE OF THIS PAIR OF SUPPORT BRACKETS IS TO PREVENT THE FIBERGLASS HEADER ON YOUR VEHICLE FROM CRACKING WHEN THE CAR OWNER OR MECHANIC AT YOUR LOCAL SHOP LEANS ON ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER TO DO WORK ON YOUR CAR AND PUTS TOO MUCH WEIGHT ON THE UNSUPPORTED SECTION OF THE HEADER WHICH IS THE AREA ABOVE THE HEADLIGHTS.
Two of the pictures for this listing are of an actual GN that shows what can happen to your header panel if they are not supported and someone is careless and leans on the unsupported area on either side.
This pair of support brackets are designed to fit vehicles with original header panels with no missing studs or stripped out header screws. If trying to use on a remanufactured
header panel these may not fit and modification may be necessary.

Tools Needed: 10mm deep well socket and wrench. Some may prefer to use an extension.
Installation Instructions: First remove the two 10mm nuts from either the driver or passenger side which are located above the headlights and behind the header. Install the proper bracket for the appropriate side. Each support bracket is marked with the words DRIVE or PASS for the proper driver or passenger side. Install the proper support bracket on each side and snug the nuts back in place. Do not overtighten. Be sure your header support screws are not stripped before installing this support piece or it will be more difficult to install and remove them. This set of support brackets will be one of the easiest projects you will ever do on your Buick so you do not have to be an experienced mechanic. Great gift idea for the car enthusiast who thinks he has it all.
