UMI Performance Bolt In Front Reinforcement Brace For 78-88 GM G-Body

1978-1988 For GM G-Body

DESCRIPTION:

The UMI Performance, Inc. reinforcing front frame brace is used to stiffen the front frame horns and front crossmember area on the G-body platform. The UMI three point frame brace takes the place of the popular “Grand Prix Bar” and also the stock frame reinforcements. No drilling is required and Grade 8 hardware is included. This brace weighs in at less than 10lbs and is recommended for street, strip, auto-x or road racing.

Note: Not currently approved for Grand National platform with intercooler. Occasional grinding may be required due to G-body product tolerances. UMI used five test cars for fitment in a variety of years and no grinding was required.

FEATURES:

– Heavy duty yet light weight, brace weighs 9-1/2lbs with included hardware. – 1-1/4” USA tubing construction. – 3/16” laser cut mounting brackets. – Grade 8 mounting hardware included. – No drilling required, uses existing holes. – Reduces squeaks and rattles common with the G-body platform.

Shipments within the Continental USA
Most of our products ship via FedEx Ground or USPS, but we also utilize other convenient and cost effective shipping services.  All  orders are shipped within 24 to 48 hours of receipt. States close to Michigan usually receive shipments within a few days, west coast orders can take up to 5 days.
Hawaii and Alaska Orders
All Canada, Hawaii and Alaska orders will be shipped by postal carrier. The cost of shipping to Canada must be determined after the order is initially placed. An invoice will be sent to you with the corresponding shipping rate. In the event that an invoice for shipping charges is not received, please message us via the seller link to get your rate.
International Shipments
All international orders are handled via eBay's Global Shipping Program. International shipments can at times take several weeks to get throught customs so please keep this in consideration.

Returns & Refunds
Motorcity Muscle Car stock items may be returned within thirty (30) days from the purchase date. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking charge. Shipped costs must be prepaid and merchandise must be in resalable condition (see below). Returned items must be in new/unused/resalable condition and must be accompanied by a copy of the ebay order or full legal name of seller, eBay user ID and email address for us to process any claim. No returns will be accepted after 30 days from the purchase date. No returns will be accepted for any portion of a complete set.
We do not provide call tag service for parts pickup. The customer will pay freight on all return orders. Mailbox stores charge service and packing fees that are not refundable by Motorcity Muscle Car.
Resalable Condition
All returned goods are to be in resalable condition. This means we will not accept a part used on a car, greasy, damaged, bent or without the original box. Resalable means in the same condition as you received it in.
Damaged Packages - Shipping
Report damaged packages immediately by sending a message through the seller link. Please include pictures of the damaged product AND package in your message. Damages MUST be reported WITHIN 48 HOURS of receipt of the order. 
Shortages or Incorrect Orders
If there is a mistake on your order, contact us immediately via message though the seller link and we will make arrangements for the exchange of the correct items. Spohn Performance does it again…you asked for it, we built it!

The other brands on the market require you to remove your interior and drill multiple holes through your floor pan to install their driveshaft safety loop…no one wants to do that!

Our driveshaft safety loop for the 1984-1992 GM F-Body Camaro and Firebird requires the use of a polyurethane transmission mount. This provides for two mounting holes, in place of the single mounting hole on the factory transmission mount.

We supply a template to mark and drill two 7/16″ holes through your factory transmission crossmember. Our driveshaft safety loop mounts to the underside of the factory transmission crossmember.

You simply place the supplied 7/16″ bolts and washers through the driveshaft safety loop’s mount, through the factory transmission crossmember, and then thread in to the polyurethane transmission mount (required).

That’s all there is to it, no interior removal, and no drilling of multiple holes through the floor pan of your pride and joy. You’ll have peace of mind, and you’ll be drag strip legal.

It’s available powder coated in your choice of bright red or gloss black for a brilliant and durable finish.

Fitment Note: It will only fit with a 1984-1992 GM F-Body factory 700R4 or T-5 transmission crossmember. It will NOT work with aftermarket transmission swap crossmembers. Fits with maximum 3.0″ diameter driveshafts.
