Launching harder, reducing wheel hop, and adding cornering consistency to your GM G-body is easy with lower control arms from BMR Suspension. BMR?s polyurethane, non-adjustable boxed control arms for G-bodies are the ultimate in strength. Stock stamped steel control arms with soft rubber bushings deflect under load and absorb power instead of transferring it to the tires. CNC laser cut from heavy-duty 1.5-x3-inch, 0.120-inch wall boxed steel tubing, the BCA003 polyurethane lower control arms nearly eliminate all control arm deflection. Greasable, internally fluted, 95-durometer bushings add a solid, more responsive feel over the stock rubber bushings. BMR?s bushing design allows grease to evenly coat the inner sleeve, keeping grease in the bushing under high loads. These flutes also direct grease to the outer edge of the bushing, keeping the thrust surface lubricated. This efficient lubrication ensures quiet, reliable operation over the life of the bushings.

Fitment Note: These front lower control arms are for the 1994-1999 Dodge Ram 4×4 with factory ride height. If you are lifted, see the bottom of this listing for information on ordering the correct control arms for your application.

Our boxed front lower control arms for the 1994-1999 Dodge Ram 4×4 outperform the flexible, stamped steel control arms with soft rubber bushings that come from the factory.

Eliminate wheel hop, steering wander and increase traction with an easy bolt on installation. All of the ends are fitted with grease fittings for easy lubrication of the low deflection fluted polyurethane bushings.

Our boxed front lower control arms are constructed of 2.00″ x 1.50″ x .120″ wall rectangular tubing, and are 100% TIG welded for the ultimate in strength, durability, and a trick appearance.

These front lower control arms are built with an inboard offset to provide maximum front tire clearance. When running larger tires they can rub against the factory front lower control arms at full steering lock, our offset design eliminates that problem.

They’re available powder coated in your choice of bright red or gloss black for a brilliant and durable finish.

Front Eccentric Cam Bolts Included: We have yet to put these on a truck that we did not have to cut off the front mounting bolts. Due to the design of the factory’s front cam bolts, water can enter through the side of the bolt causing it to rust fast to the bolt sleeve inside of the factory’s front control arm bushing.

You get your truck all tore apart and then you have to take a trip to the Dodge dealer, find and order the bolts you need, and then wait a few days for them to come in. Since we already know you will need new front cam bolts, this front lower control arm package includes two new cam bolts, two new cam washers, and two new lock nuts (see the second picture). Remember that when looking at our price!

Info

Rear control arms are one of the most important suspension modifications that can be done to your GM vehicle. Stock control arms are on the borderline of “junk”, bushing deflection and rusting weak stamped material add for traction loss and poor handling ability. Our boxed control arms are designed to give you the best of both worlds, whether your car is a weekend cruiser or a weekend track addict we got you covered. The included Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings are an excellent improvement over OEM rubber bushings, while adding ride improvements they also work excellent to reduce traction loss. These control arms are a direct bolt-on replacement designed to minimize wheel hop, improve cornering and help track consistency. Each control arm features the correct provisions for adding a stock or aftermarket sway bar. Sway bar holes are reinforced with a 0.120″ wall thickness steel sleeve TIG welded and sanded into place. The construction of the control arms features 0.120″ wall thickness rectangular tubing with CNC machined drawn over mandrel bushing holders and MIG welded end caps to keep out unwanted road debris. Features-Built using 0.120″ Wall Thickness Rectangular Mild Steel Tubing-CNC Machined for Precision Tolerances and Accuracy-MIG Welded DOM Steel Bushing Holders -Grease-able Energy Suspension Bushings with Grease Fittings-Durable Long Lasting Powder Coat finish Installation: Installs in 1 hours using OEM hardware. Fitment Notes: These extended length front lower control arms are for the 2003-2009 Dodge Ram 4×4 with a 1.0″-3.0″ lifted ride height. These must be matched with our Part# D03-602-3 extended length front upper control arms. The extended length front control arms push the front axle housing front so it remains properly positioned fore/aft after lifting the ride height.

Eliminate wheel hop, steering wander and increase traction with an easy bolt on installation. All of the ends are fitted with grease fittings for easy lubrication of the low deflection fluted polyurethane bushings.

Our boxed front lower control arms are constructed of 2.00″ x 1.50″ x .120″ wall rectangular tubing, and are 100% TIG welded for the ultimate in strength, durability, and a trick appearance.

These front lower control arms are built with an inboard offset to provide maximum front tire clearance. When running larger tires they can rub against the factory front lower control arms at full steering lock, our offset design eliminates that problem.

They’re available powder coated in your choice of bright red or gloss black for a brilliant and durable finish.

Front Eccentric Cam Bolts Included: We have yet to put these on a truck that we did not have to cut off the front mounting bolts. Due to the design of the factory’s front cam bolts, water can enter through the side of the bolt causing it to rust fast to the bolt sleeve inside of the factory’s front control arm bushing.

You get your truck all tore apart and then you have to take a trip to the Dodge dealer, find and order the bolts you need, and then wait a few days for them to come in. Since we already know you will need new front cam bolts, this front lower control arm package includes two new cam bolts, two new cam washers, and two new lock nuts (see the second picture). Remember that when looking at our price!

UMI’s boxed lower control arms utilize our Roto-Joint technology for a bind free performance and quiet comfortable ride quality. The boxed control arms are fabricated from 0.120” wall thickness rectangular tubing, CNC machined drawn over mandrel bushing holders and MIG welded end caps to keep out unwanted road debris. Each control arm features the correct provisions for adding a stock or aftermarket rear sway bar, sway bar holes are reinforced with a 0.120” wall thickness steel sleeve that is TIG welded and sanded into place. The solid construction combined with the delrin lined Roto-Joints eliminate control arm flex and bushing deflection for improved traction and reduced wheel hop. The Roto-Joint design is a pivot ball lined with a greaseable delrin race designed to offer 28 degrees of total unrestricted movement, more than adequate for a bind free, low friction operation. The Roto-Joint design improves performance over the factory rubber and aftermarket polyurethane bushings by allowing the suspension to articulate correctly, and provide precision handling. The installed UMI Roto-Joint allows rear end free movement when high handling, auto cross or road race is a concern while still being a 100% streetable setup. The installed delrin race, which lines the spherical ball, absorbs shock and road noise for a quiet and smooth operation on any street or track driven vehicle. This control arm set features Roto-Joints on both sides of the control arms. This is designed for maximum performance and suspension travel. Roto-Joints are greaseable and low maintenance making an excellent street setup for your cruiser or race car!

More about Roto-Joint Technology….. UMI’s Roto-Joint, short for Rotational Joint, allows 28 degrees of total rotation and unrestricted movement throughout the vehicles suspension. The Roto-Joint is designed to work like a spherical rod end while maintaining streetable qualities of a softer bushing. The Roto-Joint is designed to articulate and prevent suspension bind, and since the installed delrin race does not deflect like softer bushings, there is an improvement in traction and a significant reduction in wheel hop. The construction of the Roto-Joint features a 4140 chrome moly, hard chrome plated spherical ball which rotates in a delrin race. The 4140 chrome moly material and hard chrome plating are designed for extensive wear resistance against hard driving and accumulated miles. The spherical ball rotates in the CNC machined delrin bushing, which is contoured for the spherical ball to allow unrestricted movement as the ball rotates. Delrin is the bushing material of choice due to its high resistance against wear, great tensile strength, and ability to maintain its physical properties. The housing of the Roto-Joint features 4140 chrome moly threads, and a CNC machined bushing holder TIG welded together for the utmost in strength and durability. The UMI Roto-Joint is adjustable and 100% rebuildable. This means as the delrin race wears the adjuster ring can be tightened using the optional spanner wrench to apply tension to the ball. If the delrin race would ever wear completely it can be replaced easily.



Spanner Wrench- This spanner wrench is used for adjusting and disassembling Roto-Joints used in all UMI Performance products. Over time if the delrin race inside the Roto-Joint would wear the spanner wrench is used to tighten the adjusting ring applying more pressure to the delrin inside. The spanner wrench is also used to disassemble the Roto-Joint for cleaning, inspection and rebuilding.

Fitment Notes: These extended length front upper control arms are for the 2003-2013 Dodge Ram 2500 4×4 and 2003-2012 3500 4×4 with a 1.0″-3.0″ lifted ride height. These must be matched with our Part# D03-202-3 (2003-2009) or D10-202-3 (2010-2013) extended length front lower control arms. The extended length front control arms push the front axle housing front so it remains properly positioned fore/aft after lifting the ride height.
