QA1 52737 Control Arm Kit, Lower, Street Performance, 64-72 GM A/G-Body

QA1’s Street Control Arms are the perfect upgrade for any vehicle used primarily for cruising and long distances. Configured for QA1 Pro Coil Systems with double shear lower mounting. The combination of high strength tubing and billet aluminum cross shafts make these arms amount to the lightest on the market with improved strength and durability. Robotically welded and high-quality powder coated these street control arms look great. These control arms use polyurethane bushings which will isolate road noise for smoother ride, yet stiff enough for great handling. The high-quality integrated ball joint included with this control arm setup is stronger than the factory ball joint and provides a long-term service. All of these arms are designed to add 3-4 degrees of caster and 0.5 to 1 degree of negative camber when used together. When used independently they will add approximately half of the preceding numbers.

THIS 78-87 CHEVY EL CAMINO OR GMC CABALLERO FRAME/SUSPENSION/CHASSIS will bolt right back to the 10 original body mounting locations (wheel tubs must be installed)


after you install the wheel tubs, you will be able to fit up to at least 33″ tall x 19″ wide Pro-Street or Drag Racing tires (I have used a 4″ wheel backspace on 15″x 14″ rim w/ 32″x19″ tire for about 1″ clearance. I have also used 5″ backspace on 20″x15″ rim w/ 29″x18″ tire for about 1″ clearance)


I can also do this to most 68-88 General Motor A-Body, B-Body, and G-Body vehicles with a triangulated 4-link chassis

THIS IS WHAT YOU GET:

1) 78-87 El Camino Custom Fabricated Pro-Street metallic charcoal grey color painted bolt-in chassis (you will the receive actual pictured item)

This rear ladder bar suspension kit mounts rear axle housings in to 1932 Fords and other street rods and rat rods that have a flat style floor pan. If you have a dropped pan under the seat of a coupe, roadster, etc. it must be replaced with a flat panel like the flooring of a sedan.

Build Specifications & Features:

  • 1.00″ DOM tubing with CNC laser cut 1/4″ steel uprights for the ultimate in strength and durability.
  • 1.75″ DOM tubing front crossmember with CNC laser cut 3/16″ steel mounts (39″ long – trim to fit).
  • Ladder bars measure 45.50″ long from rear axle tube center line to front crossmember center line.
  • Greasable fluted polyurethane bushings at front pivot mounts for a nice quiet ride.
  • Adjustable clevises at rear of ladder bars.
  • CNC laser cut 3/8″ steel rear axle housing mounts fit up to 3.00″ o.d. axle tubes.
  • Grade 8 mounting hardware included.
  • Powder coated gloss black for a brilliant and durable finish.

Fitment Note: Must be used in conjunction with a lateral panhard bar.
