I found one little dent on one of the pieces. These also have cosmetic scratches, blemishes, haziness, discoloration, etc. I used bleach to remove the algea growth, but my bucket wasn’t deep enough so the center of the long piece didn’t get cleaned. It’s where you see the dark coloration.

Replace the factory’s weak, rubber bushed, stamped steel, flexible panhard bar with one of our heavy duty adjustable units! Our adjustable panhard bar greatly increases the rear end’s lateral stability and it’s the best component for serious handling performance.

Our adjustable panhard bar allows for centering the rear axle housing after lowering. It also allows for alignment of the rear end for clearance when running larger tires and greatly increases the rear end’s lateral stability.

This adjustable panhard bar features low deflection fluted polyurethane bushings with grease fittings for easy lubrication and it’s available powder coated in your choice of bright red or gloss black for a brilliant and durable finish.

  • Constructed of 1.25″ x .095″ wall DOM tubing.
  • Stronger, yet lighter than stock (weighs only 6.30#).

UMI’s bolt-in rear coilover bracket kit is a complete mounting solution for your factory axle 1978-1988 GM G-Body. This race-proven lower bracket bolts in using the standard trailing arm mounting hole as well as an additional reinforcement hole normally used by the standard rear shock. This bracket features a multi-position design to allow further fine tuning of ride height and shock location (±¾”). In addition to shock location adjustability, the UMI 3048 features three positions of trailing arm location adjustment to fine tune instant center. This adjustment is popular on lowered cars, for drag racing traction, or whenever a geometry change is desired. The kit also features upper reinforcement tabs to distribute the load from the T-bar as well as complete upper and lower hardware. There is no cutting required and your car can be returned to stock at any time. 100% designed, manufactured and raced out of Philipsburg, PA-USA and always US materials.

Installation & Fitment Note: Coilover brackets are designed to fit factory rear end housings ONLY and may not fit aftermarket rear ends. Coilover kit P/N 3049 offers more clearance and options for aftermarket rear ends than P/N 3048. UMI recommends installing the 3048-bracket kit, setting the ride height as desired, then purchasing the correct length shocks. Contact us for recommendations. Rear shocks may not clear all exhaust tail pipes. UMI is not responsible for exhaust clearance issues.

Optional Shock Tower Brace P/N 3055- P/N 3055 is designed to tie the left and right rear shock towers together for additional chassis reinforcement. UMI’s P/N 3055 has been designed to clear most popular exhaust systems however fitment with all exhaust systems is not guaranteed.

Installation Note: Rear shocks may not clear all exhaust tail pipes. UMI is not responsible for exhaust clearance issues. These brackets are designed to fit factory rear ends and may not fit aftermarket rear ends. Coilover kit P/N 3049 offers more clearance and options for aftermarket rear ends than P/N 3048.
