Fitment Note: These adjustable LCAs do NOT have any provisions for mounting a factory style rear sway bar. These are race inspired rear lower control arms that should be used in conjunction with an aftermarket rear sway bar or anti-roll bar that does not mount to the rear lower control arms.

These combo ended adjustable rear lower control arms will wipe out bind, yet keep the road noise increase minimal for a street driven car. The Del-Sphere pivot joints provide for “bind-free” handling performance. They will work best when combined with our Part# M4-605 Del-Sphere pivot jointed adjustable rear upper control arms.

Eliminate wheel hop, increase traction, and drastically improve handling with an easy bolt on installation. The Del-Sphere pivot joints provide for “bind-free” handling and no deflection launch performance. They’re available powder coated in your choice of bright red or gloss black for a brilliant and durable finish.

The control arm bushings on the 1979-1998 Ford Mustang and Fox Body cars have a significant impact on your vehicle?s ride, comfort, handling, acceleration, noise and vibration. When the vehicle leans (rolls) in a turn, one side of the chassis moves up relative to the rear axle and the other side moves down.

The control arms must twist to allow for the axle to articulate, this causes the control arm bushings to bind. If this bind becomes excessive, it will raise the rear wheel rate and produce sudden and uncontrolled changes in handling such as snap oversteer.

The factory minimizes this suspension bind by using compliant rubber bushings. These soft bushings help accommodate the necessary motion of the control arms during body roll. However, the rubber bushings do not provide much in the way of forward and aft support which can cause wheel hop during hard acceleration and braking.

It is common to replace the stock rubber control arm bushings with polyurethane bushings to resolve the shortcomings of the factory’s soft rubber bushings. Polyurethane bushings eliminate wheel hop, reduce axle deflection, and improve straight line traction. However, the downside of polyurethane bushings is they prevent the necessary movement of the control arms during body roll, which in turn produces significant binding in the suspension when the vehicle is cornering.

The polyurethane bushings also place high stresses on the control arm mounts on the vehicle. Polyurethane bushed control arms do not allow for rotation of the control arm during cornering because of the stiffness of the bushings.

Del-Sphere Pivot Joints:

The Spohn Performance Del-Sphere pivot joint solves the shortcomings of the factory rubber and aftermarket polyurethane bushings. Our Del-Sphere pivot joint incorporates a spherical ball which is surrounded by Delrin® bushing cups.

Think of the Del-Sphere pivot joint as a Delrin® bushed spherical rod end. After over a year of R&D testing here at Spohn Performance on a streetable spherical joint the Del-Sphere pivot joint is the final result. Designed and manufactured exclusively by Spohn Performance, we have taken street suspension performance to the next level.

Our Del-Sphere pivot joint features a one piece forged and heat treated chrome moly housing, a heat treated and chrome plated chrome moly spherical ball, Delrin® bushing cups, heat treated retainer washer and snap ring, heat treated and chrome plated chrome moly threaded adjuster ring, an external grease fitting, and a beautiful silver zinc plated housing finish.

The Delrin® bushing cups absorb shock and road noise so you get the quiet and smooth ride of a bushing as well as 28 degrees of rotation! Our Del-Sphere pivot joints will always ship to you fully assembled, however, we also offer an optional adjusting tool that will allow you to do two things.

First, you can disassemble the Del-Sphere pivot joint for cleaning, inspection, etc. Second, you can adjust the amount of tension on the spherical ball. The amount of tension can be easily adjusted by using our optional adjustment tool to tighten or loosen the end retainer ring.

What that means is if over time and miles the tolerances open up you can simply re-adjust the retainer ring and have your pivot joint as tight as it was the day it was brand new. We doubt you’ll ever need to replace the Delrin® bushing cups, but they certainly can be. Unlike a spherical rod end, the Del-Sphere pivot joint is 100% rebuildable.

The Mountain Goat Series™ adjustable front lower control arms for the Jeep© JK Wrangler allow for maximum suspension articulation. Our adjustable front lower control arms are compatible with virtually any suspension system, from bone stock up to 6″ or more of lift. For those of you with suspension lifts the adjustability feature allows you to properly lengthen the front lower control arms to dial in your pinion and caster angles, as well as position the front axle housing for proper tire clearance.

Our adjustable front lower control arms are manufactured from high strength 1.50″ 4130N chrome moly DOM tubing and feature 100% TIG welded construction. They’re precision formed to the shape of the factory front lower control arms to allow clearance with larger tires. A brilliant and durable powder coated finish in your choice of bright red or gloss black provides excellent protection from corrosion, rocks and debris.

The length of our adjustable front lower control arms is easily adjusted while mounted on your Jeep© JK Wrangler by using the massive 1″-12 forged 4140 chrome moly double adjuster. Simply loosen the two jam nuts, turn the adjuster’s center hex until you reach the length you need and then tighten down the jam nuts, it’s that simple.

All ends of our adjustable front lower control arms for the Jeep© JK Wrangler feature greaseable and rebuildable Del-Sphere™ pivot joints. These were chosen to provide maximum suspension articulation (30 degrees) and off-road performance while minimizing the transfer of road noise and vibrations on the street. The Del-Sphere™ pivot joints are smooth, long lasting and quiet.

Our Del-Sphere™ pivot joint ends feature a massive 0.325″ wall DOM cartridge that houses self lubricating Delrin© bushing cups, a precision ground and hard chrome plated 52100 heat treated bearing steel spherical ball, a heat treated and zinc plated chrome moly threaded adjuster ring and an external grease fitting. They are reinforced with 100% TIG welded CNC laser cut and formed 3/16″ steel gussets. Since Delrin© is self lubricating there is no need to grease this joint which attracts grit and grime, but we do have a grease fitting in place for those who want it.

The Del-Sphere™ pivot joint ends used on these control arms are designed specifically for the Jeep© JK Wrangler application. The cartridges are only 1.50″ wide and use high misalignment spacers on each side of the spherical ball which allows the pivot joint to reach its full articulation range without the housing bottoming out and binding inside of the control arm mounts. This provides for quiet operation and a true full 30 degrees of unrestricted suspension articulation.

Most control arms on the market use an OEM style rubber bushing on one end and a pivot joint on the other end. The reason they do this is because their pivot joint housing will bottom out inside of the control arm mounts if they are able to reach their full articulation capability. So, while they may advertise 30+ degrees of articulation, because of the rubber bushing on the other end of the control arm you will actually only get about half of that amount.

Our Del-Sphere™ pivot joint ends are fully rebuildable and adjustable. You can completely disassemble the Del-Sphere™ pivot joint for cleaning, inspection, etc. You can also adjust the amount of friction on the spherical ball, the amount of tension can be easily adjusted by using our optional adjustment tool to tighten or loosen the threaded adjuster ring. The threaded adjuster ring is then locked in place by a set screw.

What that means is if over time, miles and abuse the tolerances open up you can simply tighten down the threaded adjuster ring and have your pivot joint as tight as it was the day it was brand new. We doubt you’ll ever need to replace the Delrin© bushing cups, but they certainly can be. Unlike a rubber bushing or spherical rod end, the Del-Sphere™ pivot joints are 100% rebuildable at a very low cost.

This Standard Duty crossmember mounted adjustable torque arm kit is for installing a T-10 or Muncie 4 speed transmission into a Third Generation F-Body Camaro or Firebird. The kit includes the transmission crossmember required to install the 4 speed transmission, along with our crossmember mounted Standard Duty adjustable torque arm.

The T-10 and Muncie 4 speed transmissions have no provision to mount the factory torque arm on to the transmission tailshaft. Our torque arm package makes the 4 speed swap an easy 100% bolt right in installation with the use of basic hand tools!

If you want serious performance, handling, and traction when you’re at the dragstrip, AutoX, or road racing; then you need a Spohn Performance fully adjustable torque arm, here’s what it’ll do:

  • Attaches to the rear axle and controls rear end torque during acceleration, transferring this energy into the tires, increasing straight line traction.
  • Reduces nose-dive during braking.
  • Eliminates wheel hop.
  • Increases side bite during corner exit acceleration.
  • No fabrication, welding or drilling required – 100% bolt-in installation with the use of basic hand tools!
  • Removes the torque arm pivot point from the rear of the transmission to the supplied crossmember.
  • Changes the instantaneous center and leverage point from stock.
  • Provides adjustable pinion angle.

Build Specifications & Features:

  • Constructed of 1.25″ o.d. x .120″ wall DOM tubing.
  • TIG welded 4130N chrome moly threaded tube adapters for maximum thread strength.
  • Heavy-duty CNC laser cut 3/8″ steel rear axle housing mounting bracket.
  • Heavy-duty transmission crossmember fabricated from CNC laser cut and formed 3/16″ steel with integral torque arm rotator mounting system. Our rotating front torque arm mount (thrustator) allows the torque arm to travel fore/aft which is VERY necessary with a torque arm suspension system. Solidly mounting the front of the torque arm causes the suspension to bind and hurts your car’s handling drastically. The front rotator tube has an integral grease fitting to allow for proper lubrication.
  • Del-Sphere™ pivot jointed front mount provides for bind-free articulation and the best in street-friendly performance and strength.
  • Rear of torque arm mounts to the 3/8″ steel rear axle housing mounting bracket via two 3/4″-16 NFT x 5/8″ bore x 7/8″ thick solid steel rod ends. These are solid rod ends, not spherical bearing rod ends, so noise is of no concern. Grade 8 – 5/8″ bolts and 5/8″ nylock nuts are supplied.
  • Integral 4140 chrome moly pinion angle double adjuster between the bottom rear solid rod end and the bottom rear torque arm tube allows for easy pinion angle adjustment. A simple turn of the wrench will give you over 6 degrees of pinion angle adjustment, it’s that simple.
  • This is a proven product being run on some of the fastest thirdgen F-Bodies in the country!
  • The rear axle housing mounting bracket is designed to fit on stock and/or aftermarket rear ends.
  • Available powder coated in your choice of bright red or gloss black for a brilliant and durable finish.
  • Includes a front driveshaft safety loop. NHRA rules call for a front driveshaft safety loop to prevent catapulting of the vehicle in the event of a front u-joint or driveshaft failure.

Replace the factory’s weak, stamped steel, rubber bushed, flexible panhard bar with one of our heavy duty adjustable set-ups!

Our adjustable rear panhard bar allows for centering the rear axle housing after lowering or lifting the ride height and it’s the best component for serious handling, off-road, and towing performance.

It also allows for lateral alignment of the rear end for clearance when running larger tires and greatly increases the rear end’s lateral stability. The Del-Sphereâ„¢ pivot joints provide for 28 degrees of articulation, perfect for the off-road enthusiast looking for maximum suspension articulation!

It’s available powder coated in your choice of bright red or gloss black for a brilliant and durable finish.

Del-Sphereâ„¢ Pivot Joints:

The Spohn Performance Del-Sphere™ pivot joint solves the shortcomings of the factory rubber and aftermarket polyurethane bushings. Our Del-Sphere™ pivot joint incorporates a spherical ball which is surrounded by Delrin® bushing cups.

Think of the Del-Sphere™ pivot joint as a Delrin® bushed spherical rod end. After over a year of R&D testing here at Spohn Performance on a streetable spherical joint the Del-Sphere™ pivot joint is the final result. Designed and manufactured exclusively by Spohn Performance, we have taken street suspension performance to the next level.

Our Del-Sphere™ pivot joint features a one piece forged and heat treated 4130 chrome moly housing, a heat treated and chrome plated chrome moly spherical ball, Delrin® bushing cups, heat treated retainer washer and snap ring, heat treated and chrome plated chrome moly threaded adjuster ring, an external grease fitting, and a beautiful silver zinc plated housing finish.

The Delrin® bushing cups absorb shock and road noise so you get the quiet and smooth ride of a bushing as well as 28 degrees of rotation! Our Del-Sphere™ pivot joints will always ship to you fully assembled, however, we also offer an optional adjusting tool that will allow you to do two things.

First, you can disassemble the Del-Sphereâ„¢ pivot joint for cleaning, inspection, etc. Second, you can adjust the amount of tension on the spherical ball. The amount of tension can be easily adjusted by using our optional adjustment tool to tighten or loosen the end retainer ring.

What that means is if over time and miles the tolerances open up you can simply re-adjust the retainer ring and have your pivot joint as tight as it was the day it was brand new. We doubt you’ll ever need to replace the Delrin® bushing cups, but they certainly can be. Unlike a spherical rod end, the Del-Sphereâ„¢ pivot joint is 100% rebuildable.

After more than 45 years of use the factory panhard bar is corroded and the rubber bushings are cracked and dry rotted which adversely effects the performance of your car.

Our adjustable panhard bar allows for centering the rear end after lowering and provides for serious handling performance. It also allows for alignment of the rear end for clearance when running larger tires and greatly increases the rear end’s lateral stability. All of the ends are fitted with grease fittings for easy lubrication of the fluted polyurethane bushings.
