  • Specially designed to fit 1978-1987 GM G-Body vehicles
  • Upper control arms: 8″ from center of ball joint to center of cross shaft
  • Lower control arms: 14-1/4″ from center of ball joint to the center of the bushings. Inside to inside of bushings measures a total of 9-1/8″
  • Made from heavy duty steel with a painted black finish for added protection
  • Required bushings & ball joints are not included

1978-88 Control Arms, Tubular, 1978-88 G-Body, Front Lower – USA Made, NEW !

CPP’s quality upper and lower tubular control arms are welded for maximum strength and visual impact. The lower control arms have a helical stamped coil spring mount, just like they did from the factory, which secures the coil spring into the lower control arm. The coil mount has been improved to make installation even easier. The lower shock mount is incorporated into the stamped coil plate and will also accept QA-1 coil over and Ridetech Shockwave™ units as well. This stamping is welded around its entire perimeter. All arms that contain cross shafts are preassembled with the cross shafts and pivot sleeves and have a safety feature that captures both sides of the bushing, unlike the originals that were only retained on the one side of the bushing under the head of the bolt. This unique feature allows full control and virtually no flex on the control arm when cornering.

    Application: 1982-2002 GM F-Body – Camaro & Firebird

    Part# 204

    Our adjustable polyurethane bushed rear lower control arms for the 1982-2002 GM F-Body Camaro and Firebird outperform the flexible, heavy, stamped steel arms and soft rubber bushings that come from the factory.

    Eliminate wheel hop and increase traction with an easy bolt on installation. All of the ends are fitted with grease fittings for easy lubrication of the fluted polyurethane bushings.

    The adjustability feature allows for fore and aft centering of the rear axle housing to correct for factory tolerances, this also allows for fore and aft movement of the entire rear axle assembly to provide for adequate tire clearance when running large tires.

    Specifications & Features:

    • 1.25″ x .095″ wall DOM tubing.
    • Stronger, yet lighter than stock.
    • Polyurethane bushings (fluted) with grease fittings for easy lubrication.
    • Right hand and left hand threaded CNC machined 4140 chrome moly double adjuster threads into 4130 chrome moly TIG welded threaded tube adapters for maximum thread strength.
    • Re-uses the factory mounting hardware, no need to drill out your car’s LCA mounting bracket holes.

    These adjustable rear lower control arms for the 1971-1980 H-Body Vega, Monza, etc. outperform the flexible, stamped steel arms and soft rubber bushings that come from the factory.

    Eliminate wheel hop and increase traction with an easy bolt on installation. The polyurethane bushed ends are fitted with grease fittings for easy lubrication of the fluted polyurethane bushings. The Teflon® lined chrome moly spherical rod ends provide for “bind-free” performance.

    The fluted polyurethane bushed ends are mounted onto the chassis (floor) mount to absorb road noise. These combo ended LCAs will wipe out most bind, yet keep the noise increase minimal for a street driven car.

    These tubular rear LCAs are CNC laser cut from 1.25″ x .095″ wall DOM tubing and are 100% TIG welded for the ultimate in strength and appearance. They feature 0.875″ o.d. x .188″ wall DOM tubular rear sway bar mounting bolt through sleeves TIG welded in place to handle the most severe abuse.

    The adjustability feature allows for fore and aft centering of the rear axle housing to correct for factory tolerances. It also allows for alignment of the rear end for clearance when running larger tires and greatly increases the rear end’s stability.

    They’re available powder coated in your choice of bright red or gloss black for a brilliant and durable finish.
