QA1’s Stocker Star shocks are one of the best-selling shocks. With the single adjustable option, you can’t go wrong. Simultaneously change your compression and rebound with one knob, choosing from 18 valving options.

Notes:

Some front applications may require the lower a-arm to be dropped for installation. Body diameter may be too large to allow mounting from the bottom. Some control arm’s shock openings may need to be enlarged to accept a QA1 shock.

TD403; TD703; TD801; TD901 & TD902 may require a Lower Shock Bolt Kit (part #7888-108) and a Bushing (part #9032-102).

Stud mounts are measured to the shoulder of the stud. Add 13/16″ for installed compressed length per stud mount. Loops and t-bars are measured to the center of the loop. Lengths may vary slightly.

Due to deviations from the factory ride heights, it may be necessary to the actual ride height of your particular applications.

New factory oem window molding clips.

Direct replacement for GM Part# 8717859, 9854717, 9662950, 9606232 and 20603072. 

These clips fasten around the opening of the front, rear and quarter glass. They secure the trim molding to the car. 

Due to the age of these cars, these clips typically break upon molding removal. It is crucial to ALWAYS replace these clips when removing and installing the window moldings if you want a nice tight fit.

Broken or missing alignment screws or studs? No problem. We sell oem screws and repair studs in our store.

​The Detroit Truetrac is a helical-gear style performance differential that maximizes wheel traction and enhances driving and handling characteristics.

Operation

The Truetrac operates as a standard or open differential under normal driving conditions, allowing one wheel to spin faster or slower as necessary. When a wheel encounters a loss of traction or the terrain changes, the gear separation forces take effect and transfer torque to the high-traction wheel. The helical-shaped gears mesh with increasing force until wheel spin is slowed or completely stopped. When the vehicle exits the low traction situation, the differential resumes normal operation.

Performance

Operation of the Truetrac is smooth, quiet and automatic. The unit will engage without any driver knowledge or action required. It also has no wearable parts and requires no maintenance, meaning less time in the garage and more on the road.

The Eaton Detroit Truetrac is a very versatile differential that can enhance traction in a variety of vehicles.  Units are currently available for front- and rear-axle applications.  Below is a list of common uses:

    A Body New Flanged Housing 58″ Stock pinion Location with Big Ford New Style Housing Ends.  78-87 GM Midsize Cars.



    Wheel mounting flange to wheel mounting flange will be 58″ with axles installed (2 1/2″ offset axles)

    • Stock rear end pinion yoke location between wheel flanges when center section is installed.  
    • Standard driveshaft location 1/2″ to the passenger side exactly like a General Motors rear.  
    • New Stamped Housing with new 3″ x .188″ wall DOM tubing.
    • Big Ford New Style (torino) housing ends with .375″ (3/8″) bolt holes
    • new studs installed in housing

The Center Section will be Assembled and set up for Street by Professionals.

  • 9 inch Ford US GEAR 8620 Street Series Ring & Pinion  (ratios 325, 350, 370, 389, 4.11 or 4.30) .
  • 2.89″ OD Bearing size x 1.78” ID bearing surface. nodular iron 5 bolt pinion support.   
  • CHOOSE Rear End Yoke: choose 1310  series (3 7/32″ wide with 1 1/16″ cap OD)  or 1330 series 3 5/8″ wide with 1 1/8″ cap OD)  rear end yoke.
  • 9 inch Ford PEM 31 spline Trac Loc Carrier (posi clutch style unit)  must use bottle of friction modifier in your lube

Package includes: PEM nodular iron case, iron pinion support, pinion bearings & races, pinion bolts, pinion depth shims, pinion seal, pinion nut, side bearings & races, premium ring gear bolts, tail bearing and tail bearing retainer plate.

All bearings and seals are Premium Brands ( either Timken or Koyo).

Also comes with big housing gasket, u-bolts for yoke and 4 ounce bottle of friction modifier.

We will build this center section after you verify the ratio of ring & pinion and the yoke series you want.

  • 11-1/4″ slotted and dimpled vented rotors with 5 on 4-1/2″ and 5 on 4-3/4″ bolt circles

  • Rotor had hub register of 2.78″ OD

  • UMI’s bolt-in rear coilover kit allows full ride height, spring rate and damping adjustability for your 1978-1988 GM G-Body
  • The upper mount reinforcement is a direct bolt-in and holds a true 2-½” racing coilover with T-Bar
  • The FEA designed lower bracket bolts in using the standard trailing arm mounting hole as well as an additional reinforcement hole normally used by the standard rear shock
  • The lower bracket features a multi-position design to allow further fine tuning of ride height and shock location (±¾”)
  • The Viking shock is 19-way adjustable in both compression and rebound and ensures the perfect setting for every application
  • The 2-½” coilover springs are 14” 110lb for drag and street use
  • In addition to shock location adjustability, the UMI 3064 features three positions of trailing arm location adjustment to fine tune instant center

This makes for easier adjustments since the spring seat is rotating on a bearing. This kit is recommended for easier adjustments but is not needed to complete the installation. UMI does not recommend adjusting height on the car without a thrust bearing kit.
