OVERVIEW


This NHRA legal drive shaft safety loop is a bolt-in application for the 82-87 GM G-body. Bolts to existing floor pan holes with no welding required! This is a must for tracks that require a safety loop for cars running faster than 13.99 in the quarter mile. The entire loop is constructed of 0.250″ thick mild steel, CNC machined mounting points for a superb fit and fully MIG welded for outstanding strength.

New hardware and detailed installation instructions included for 20-minute installation.

Stock control arms are on the borderline of “junk”, bushing deflection and rusting weak stamped material add for traction loss and poor handling ability. Our tubular control arms are designed to give you the best of both worlds, whether your car is a weekend cruiser or a weekend track addict we got you covered. The included Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings are an excellent improvement over OEM rubber bushings, while adding ride improvements they also work excellent to reduce traction loss. These control arms are a direct bolt-on replacement designed to minimize wheel hop, improve cornering and help track consistency. UMI’s Stage 1.5 kit is the simple way to dramatically improve the handling and performance of your muscle car. We start with our original Stage 1 kit and take it to the next level by adding Koni off-car rebound adjustable shocks. The Stage 1.5 kit also tunes up the camber curve by including ½” taller than stock upper ball joints that easily bolt to factory and most aftermarket a-arms. High performance lowering springs feature medium stiffness to control body movement and reduce floating while still providing a comfortable, sporty ride. Stage 1.5 balances out with our tried and true 1.250” front sway bar and 1” rear sway bars reducing body roll and providing excellent chassis balance when handling at the limit. Every component in this kit, as with all UMI products, is Made in USA.

Spring notes: Springs are intended for the Chevrolet small block engine. Lightweight LS may require trimming. An additional 1/4″ front end drop may occur with a full weight big block. Springs are designed to sit level, however due to varying weights and preferences, occasional trimming may be required.

  • 1-1/4” CrMo front and 1” heat treated rear sway bars help control body roll.
  • 600lb/in linear front, 130lb/in linear rear lowering springs ensure crisp handling and a sporty ride

Wheel hop or traction issues? We have the solution! Optimize your vehicle’s instant center and improve forward traction by lowering the rear of the lower control arm 2″, 2-3/4″, or 3-1/4″. These bolt-in brackets are CAD designed to accommodate factory lower control arms as well as all popular aftermarket styles. Robust flanges inside the brackets add reinforcement and ensure factory bushings bolt right in. Brackets installed can provide an average 0.10 second (or better) 60-foot reduction and an overall improvement in launch consistency. Brackets are constructed of 3/16″ mild steel and CNC laser cut for precision tolerances.  Relocation brackets are designed to work on both lowered and non-lowered vehicles and feature multiple settings to optimize vehicle handling and traction. Welding recommended on cars running drag radials or slicks and faster than 11 second ¼ mile time.

Installation: P/N 3018 bolt in relocation brackets are designed for the factory rear end housings and may not fit properly on aftermarket rear ends. See weld in brackets P/N 3010 for aftermarket rear ends. Installation takes approximately 1-2 hours and does not require cutting or welding. New hardware and installation instructions are included. Adjustable upper controls are not required but are recommended. Welding recommended on cars running drag radials or slicks and faster than 11 second ¼ mile time.

SBC poly engine mount kit is a bolt-in direct replacement for those worn out factory rubber and clamshell mounts. Poly engine mounts bridge the gap between race oriented solid mounts and cruiser oriented rubber mounts. As with every UMI Performance product, these engine mounts are 100% Made in USA and feature USA materials. They are also Race Proven on the UMI Green Machine.

Info

Optimize your vehicle’s instant center and improve forward traction by lowering the rear of the lower control arm 2″, 2-3/4″, or 3-1/2″. These weld-in brackets are CAD designed to accommodate factory lower control arms as well as all popular aftermarket styles. Robust flanges inside the brackets add reinforcement and ensure factory bushings bolt right in. Brackets installed provide an average 0.10 second (or better) 60-foot reduction and an overall improvement in launch consistency. Brackets are constructed of 0.188″ mild steel and CNC machined to precision tolerances. These brackets will work with all OEM and aftermarket rear ends and can be installed in around an hour-welding required. Premium Grade 10.9 hardware and installation instructions are included with each kit.

Installation: Brackets are weld-in only and install in approximately 1 hour. Hardware and installation instructions are included with each kit.
