3053 – 1978-1988 GM G-Body Front Reinforcement Brace, Bolt In

The UMI Performance, Inc. reinforcing front frame brace is used to stiffen the front frame horns and front crossmember area on the GM G-Body platform. The UMI three point frame brace takes the place of the popular �Grand Prix Bar” and also the stock frame reinforcements. No drilling is required and Grade 8 hardware is included. This brace weighs in at less than 10lbs and is recommended for street, strip, auto-x or road racing. The UMI P/N 3053 is available with tough red or black powder coat and is designed and manufactured with pride in Philipsburg, PA � USA. The UMI P/N 3053 is used on our popular G-Body Green Machine.

Heavy duty yet light weight, brace weighs 9-1/2lbs with included hardware.

1-1/4″ USA tubing construction.

3/16″ laser cut mounting brackets.

Grade 8 mounting hardware included.

No drilling required, uses existing holes.

Reduces squeaks and rattles common with the GM G-Body platform.

Note: Not currently approved for Grand National platform with intercooler. Occasional grinding may be required due to GM G-Body product tolerances. UMI used five test cars for fitment in a variety of years and no grinding was required.

    UMI’s new pro-touring kit features all of their top of the line Pro-Tour style components in one convenient package. The lower arms are loaded with Roto-Joints on each end and feature TIG welded sway bar sleeves along with the awesome articulation of the double Roto-Joints. The upper arms have Roto-Joints on one end and are fully adjustable to set pinion angle and lateral location. The new Roto-Joint axle housing bushing completes the package and ensures bind-free articulation. This 8 Roto-Joint package is the ultimate combination of street comfort and race winning capability. For Pro-Tour cars that see highway use, this kit is like having rod end suspension that just happens to be comfortable. Kit includes boxed lower control arms with Roto-Joints, adjustable upper control arms with Roto-Joints, Roto-Joint rear end housing bushings and grade 8 bolts with nylock nuts. 100% manufactured with pride in Philipsburg, PA – USA.

    Spanner Wrench-

    The Spanner wrench is used for adjusting and disassembling UMI Roto-Joints. Over time the Delrin race inside the Roto-Joint may wear, the spanner wrench is used to tighten the adjusting ring applying more pressure to the delrin inside. The spanner wrench is also used to disassemble the Roto-Joint for cleaning, inspection and rebuilding.

    Warranty: UMI Performance offers a 2 Year replacement Warranty from the original purchase date to the original purchaser of the parts.

    The P/N 90059 solid engine mount kit for GM G and F-body cars places the Small Block Chevy in exact factory location and uses our popular P/N 0051 solid lower mount combined with a laser cut block mount. Tough 3/16” laser cut brackets and Grade 8 hardware can handle as much horsepower as you can throw at them. Solid engine mounts improve responsiveness and help prevent engine movement, which can help in tight packaging situations (large header primaries, turbos, etc). Solid engine mounts work best in racing applications and may contribute to increased Noise, Vibration and Harshness. Available in gloss black powder coat. These engine mounts are proudly used on UMI’s G-Body test car, 1979 Monte Carlo “Green Machine”. 100% manufactured, tested and raced out of Philipsburg, PA – USA.
