Replace the factory’s weak and flexible rubber bushed rear upper control arm on your 1959-1964 Chevrolet B-Body Impala, Biscayne, and Bel Air with our heavy duty tubular unit! Our tubular rear upper control arm provides for serious handling performance and greatly increase the rear end’s fore and aft stability.

After more than 50 years of use the factory rear upper control arm is corroded and the rubber bushings are cracked and dry rotted which adversely effects the handling and performance of your car.

Improve your ride quality, reduce body roll, eliminate wheel hop and increase traction with an easy bolt on installation. All of the ends are fitted with grease fittings for easy lubrication of the fluted polyurethane bushings.

Our tubular k-member for the 1993-2002 F-Body Camaro and Firebird with an LSx V-8 engine sets a new, higher standard of performance and quality. When we designed our k-member, we had several goals in mind.

One was to provide the performance capabilities needed for the toughest race tracks, another was to provide the strength and durability required for the demands of a daily driven vehicle.

Our k-member provides substantial weight savings and frees up a lot of room in the engine bay for our drag race customers, but it also provides the strength, rigidity, and durability for our road race, autox, and daily driver customers as well….. all in one package!

Our tubular k-member features gusseted a-arm mounts for maximum rigidity and side load support. Our k-members are gusseted in critical areas (over 20 locations!) to ensure that a weld never breaks. They decrease overall weight, and provide much more room for large tube headers, turbo systems, etc.

Our jig was built around the factory k-member providing for an exact fit and factory exact dimensions. Every detail of the factory k-member was incorporated, including all five brake line mounts. There’s no “zip tying” of the brake lines with our k-member.

It will accept factory a-arms or aftermarket tubular a-arms and it’s set up to mount a factory steering rack. It’s available powder coated in your choice of bright red or gloss black for a brilliant and durable finish.

Build Specifications and Features:

  • 1.50″ x .120″ wall DOM tubing – formed one piece front hoop.
  • 1.50″ x .120″ wall DOM tubing a-arm mount tubes.
  • 1.25″ x .120″ wall DOM tubing rear support tube.
  • Factory style button head locating pins.
  • CNC laser cut 3/16″ steel gussets in over 20 locations for maximum strength and durability.

Fitment Note: These Part# 781-F-DEL a-arms do not have mounts for factory style coil springs. They are designed to be used with front coil over kits.

Delrin® Bushings: These a-arms are equipped with Delrin® bushings. They’re designed for the serious Road Race or AutoX car that demands a zero deflection bushing for maximum handling performance. They are a bit harsher on the street (NVH). These a-arms are available with polyurethane bushings, search for Part# 781-F in our eBay Store to purchase these.

In November of 2014 we released these RRx Series tubular front lower a-arms for the 1982-1992 GM F-Body Camaro and Firebird that set a higher standard of performance and quality. They are truly the new standard of comparison.

All of our RRx Series tubular a-arms are designed using aerospace level technology and design tools. First we create a 3D scan of the factory a-arm using a FARO® Scan Arm with a 3D laser scanning attachment. Then we use that 3D model of the factory a-arm as our foundation for creating a tubular version inside of our Solidworks® 3D design software.

After we’re done designing the a-arm in Solidworks®, we then use that 3D data to design the jig that we will use to build the a-arms. The jig parts are then CNC laser cut and formed on an 8 axis CNC press brake. The final result is dimensional accuracy to within .005″!

When we designed our RRx Series tubular front lower control arms, we had two goals in mind. One was to provide the performance capabilities needed for the toughest race tracks, the second was to provide the strength and durability required for the demands of a daily driven vehicle.

We’re proud to say that we have accomplished both. If you’re looking for the strongest, most rigid, and best performing front lower a-arms for the third generation GM F-Body Camaro and Firebird, you just found them!

Our RRx Series front control arms are a true “A” arm rather than a “V” arm. This increases the arm’s rigidity and equalizes the forces delivered in to the k-member. These a-arms are gusseted at the ball joint, and feature 100% TIG welded CNC laser cut and formed 3/16″ steel bushing tube gussets for maximum strength and durability.

These a-arms come equipped with steering stops welded in place that maintain the factory steering radius as well as polyurethane bump stops that maintain the same suspension travel as the factory a-arms. They decrease overall weight, and more importantly “unsprung” weight.

Finally, we include new spherical front sway bar end links. Our front sway bar end links connect to the a-arm with a self-lubricating Teflon® lined chrome moly spherical joint that provides a bind-free connection for maximum handling performance. The top of the end link connects to the front sway bar with low deflection polyurethane bushings.

    Delrin® Bushings: These a-arms are equipped with Delrin® bushings. They’re designed for the serious Road Race or AutoX car that demands a zero deflection bushing for maximum handling performance. They are a bit harsher on the street (NVH). These a-arms are available with polyurethane bushings, search for Part# 782-F in our eBay Store to purchase these.

    In December of 2014 we released these RRx Seriesâ„¢ tubular front lower a-arms for the 1982-1992 GM F-Body Camaro and Firebird that set a higher standard of performance and quality. They are truely the new standard of comparison.

    All of our RRx Series™ tubular a-arms are designed using aerospace level technology and design tools. First we create a 3D scan of the factory a-arm using a FARO® ScanArm™ with a 3D laser scanning attachment. Then we use that 3D model of the factory a-arm as our foundation for creating a tubular version inside of our Solidworks® 3D design software.

    After we’re done designing the a-arm in Solidworks®, we then use that 3D data to design the jig that we will use to build the a-arms. The jig parts are then CNC laser cut and formed on an 8 axis CNC press brake. The final result is dimensional accuracy to within .005″!

    When we designed our RRx Seriesâ„¢ tubular front lower control arms, we had two goals in mind. One was to provide the performance capabilities needed for the toughest race tracks, the second was to provide the strength and durability required for the demands of a daily driven vehicle.

    We’re proud to say that we have accomplished both. If you’re looking for the strongest, most rigid, and best performing front lower a-arms for the third generation GM F-Body Camaro and Firebird, you just found them!

    Our RRx Seriesâ„¢ front control arms are a true “A” arm rather than a “V” arm. This increases the arm’s rigidity and equalizes the forces delivered in to the k-member. These a-arms are completely gusseted to provide for maximum rigidity and durability, as well as zero flex.

    The CNC machined coil spring mounting tube is completely surrounded and tied in with CNC laser cut 3/16″ steel gussets that are solid MIG welded. We also 100% TIG weld on CNC laser cut and formed 3/16″ steel bushing tube gussets for maximum strength and durability.

    These a-arms are equipped with a CNC machined coil spring mounting tube for installation of factory or factory style (lowering) springs. The coil spring mounting base has a spring ramp that provides for proper clocking and seating of the coil spring around it’s circumference. This allows the spring to spread it’s load across the entire spring seat, not at one small area as other designs on the market do. Note: We do not alter the ride height.

    Another feature of our RRx Seriesâ„¢ tubular front lower a-arms that is missing from most of our competitor’s products is a coil spring retention tube. We weld a short piece of 4″ o.d. tube to the base of our coil spring mount for the coil spring to slide over. This locks the coil spring in place and keeps it perfectly centered inside of the a-arm.

    These a-arms come equipped with steering stops welded in place that maintain the factory steering radius as well as polyurethane bump stops that maintain the same suspension travel as the factory a-arms.

    Finally, we include new spherical front sway bar end links. Our front sway bar end links connect to the a-arm with a self-lubricating Teflon® lined chrome moly spherical joint that provides a bind-free connection for maximum handling performance. The top of the end link connects to the front sway bar with low deflection polyurethane bushings.
