Rear control arms are one of the most important suspension modifications that can be done to your GM vehicle. Stock control arms are on the borderline of “junk”, bushing deflection and rusting weak stamped material add for traction loss and poor handling ability. Our tubular control arms are designed to give you the best of both worlds, whether your car is a weekend cruiser or a weekend track addict we got you covered. The included Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings are an excellent improvement over OEM rubber bushings, while adding ride improvements they also work excellent to reduce traction loss. These control arms are a direct bolt-on replacement designed to minimize wheel hop, improve cornering and help track consistency. Lower control arms are supplied with sway bar mounting holes designed for your stock sway bar and most aftermarket bars. A spring is a spring right? Wrong! When UMI chose to manufacture our own line of springs we went all out. Designed in conjunction with a leading Sprint Cup chassis engineer, these springs are the best in the business. These springs are wound from 9254 CrSi premium wire and feature a linear 130 lb/in rate. The linear rate provides consistent handling characteristics which are important for Auto-x and Pro-Tour applications while the increase in stiffness reduces body roll and prevents the “floating” feeling so common with the A-body. These springs are suitable for Auto-x and Pro-Tour applications as well as corner carving/cruising. They have a tough black powder coat finish and UMI proudly manufactures these premium quality springs in the USA.

    The Stage 1 is perfect for the G-Body owner who wants a simple and effective suspension upgrade with real handling improvement. This kit includes our trusted 1.250” front sway bar and 1” rear sway bar combined with performance lowering springs and UMI monotube shocks. The sway bars reduce body roll and provide a nice balance when handling at the limit. Supplied lowering springs feature medium stiffness to control body movement and reduce floating while still providing a comfortable ride. The UMI monotube shocks feature a large diameter piston and nitrogen charge to dampen bumps and provide a crisp feel without being harsh. The shock is configured with heavy-duty mounts to ensure durability and fits in the stock location. Each control arm features the correct provisions for adding a stock or aftermarket sway bar. Sway bar holes are reinforced with a 0.120″ wall thickness steel sleeve TIG welded and sanded into place. The construction of the control arms features 0.120″ wall thickness rectangular tubing with CNC machined drawn over mandrel bushing holders and MIG welded end caps to keep out unwanted road debris.     UMI Performance adjustable upper control arms allow you to adjust your vehicles pinion angle for optimum performance, precise handling and improved traction. Adjustable upper control arms are constructed of CNC machined 0.250″ steel mounting plates, 4140 chrome moly threaded tube adapters and a high strength, 4140 chrome moly, heat treated 1.000″ solid adjuster. UMI’s front springs are stiffer than stock to provide increased performance with decreased body roll and a lower center of gravity. These springs are suitable for Auto-x and Pro-Tour applications as well as corner carving/cruising. The ride height is engineered for a 2″ lowering with standard SBC as well as LS power (lightened cars may require spring trimming). The front springs are also suitable for full weight Big Block applications when ¼” nose down rake is desired. They have a tough black powder coat finish and UMI proudly manufactures these premium quality springs in the USA.

    Description:

      Trailing arm mount braces are designed to reinforce the rear upper and lower front control arm mounts on your 78-88 G-Body vehicle. The more power your ride makes the better chance of bending or breaking the rear control arm mounts. These tubular reinforcements tie the upper and lower rear control arm mounts together for added strength and driving performance. The UMI Performance braces are bent to contour the floor of the vehicle, unlike some competitor’s designs these reinforcements do not require the floor to be dented or pounded for correct fitment. Control arm braces are manufactured from DOM steel; TIG welded and feature adjustment for a perfect fit on all 78-88 G-Body’s. This kit includes new longer Grade 8 bolts, lock nuts and washers for a 100% bolt in installation.
