UMI Performance 3055-R Bolt in Rear Shock Tower Brace Red Fits 78-88 GM G-Body

Product Details:

Short Description

This 100% jig built, bolt-in brace ties the rear upper shock mounts together to share the load and stiffen the chassis. Strong 1-1/4” tubing is MIG welded to 3/16” thick laser cut brackets for a perfect fit. Hardware is included to make this a true, easy bolt-in installation. This brace is designed to clear all of the popular exhaust systems and works equally well on coilover setups and traditional spring/shock combinations. All UMI products are built from US Steel and are available in black and red powder coat. The P/N 3055 is manufactured, tested and raced out of Philipsburg, PA – USA.

This front sway bar is more rigid than the factory 7/8″ front sway bar and bolts directly in place with no modifications. Front sway bar is manufactured from 1.250″ 4140 chromoly steel, CNC bent and formed as one piece to ensure maximum strength and performance. Each kit includes new Energy Suspension end links and greaseable sway bar bushings with new zinc plated clamshells. Sway bar is available powder coated bright red or gloss black for a durable long lasting finish.

1978-1988 GM G-Body Solid Front & Rear Sway Bar Kit

UMI Performance solid sway bars are designed to reduce body roll, understeer and increase corning capabilities resulting in a more balanced suspension. The 1.250″ front sway bar is more rigid than the factory 7/8″ front sway bar and comes complete with new Energy Suspension end links and greaseable sway bar bushings. The rear sway bar is 1″ solid and is supplied with new grade 8 mounting hardware. UMI Performance sway bars are manufactured from 4140 chrome moly steel and formed as one piece to insure maximum strength and performance. The rear sway bar is heat treated to maintain longer memory than a cold bent bar while the front sway bar is CNC bent for a precision fit. Kit is available powder coated bright red or gloss black for a durable long lasting finish.

Rear control arms are one of the most important suspension modifications that can be done to your GM vehicle. Stock control arms are on the borderline of “junk”, bushing deflection and rusting weak stamped material add for traction loss and poor handling ability. Our tubular control arms are designed to give you the best of both worlds, whether your car is a weekend cruiser or a weekend track addict we got you covered. The included Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings are an excellent improvement over OEM rubber bushings, while adding ride improvements they also work excellent to reduce traction loss. These control arms are a direct bolt-on replacement designed to minimize wheel hop, improve corning and help track consistency. Lower control arms are supplied with sway bar mounting holes designed for your stock sway bar and most aftermarket bars.
